The first Muslim American Heritage Month festival in Clark County was celebrated at the Amirana Community Center. The event featured vibrant cultural performances by young children, showcasing traditions from Muslim communities around the world. The Muslim community honored Commissioner Tick Segerblom for championing the recognition of July as Muslim Heritage Month in Clark County.

Imam Ramadhan, Sister Rasheeda, Dr. Mohamed, and Dr. Ann Amirana were recognized for their leadership and service to the Las Vegas community. Posthumous awards were presented to the late Sister Nisa for her dedication to the ummah, and to the late Dr. Mehr Iqbal, a founding member of the Bernie 2016 campaign.

Guests also enjoyed a rich array of foods representing diverse Muslim cultures from across the globe.
