


































The second Muslim Heritage Month celebration was held at the Winchester Dondero Cultural Center. Imam Mabrook led a heartfelt dua in memory of the late Fayaaz Raja, a beloved and influential community leader.
M. Sharaf Haseebullah received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while the Community Leader Award was presented to Imam Fateen and Trista Miller. The Humanitarian Award was given to the Suba family for their unwavering dedication to service, and the Upcoming Humanitarian Award was presented to Mujtaba Shahzad. The Unsung Hero Award was dedicated to Steven Acheson.
Assemblyman Duy Nguyen awarded proclamations to all honorees, with additional proclamations recognizing Zena Hajji, Ahmad Ade, and Farrah Acheson.
This year’s celebration also featured a beautiful live musical performance by members of the Kazakh community, showcasing the traditional dombra.
A special thank you to Commissioner Tick Segerblom for his continued support of minority communities across Clark County.
